2026 Young Guns

Remote Roofing

Young Gun Griffin Libhart

The following is an excerpt of the interview and has been lightly edited for length and clarity.

Imagine a roofing sales process executed successfully over the phone, available remotely anywhere, anytime.

Griffin Libhart could see it and is part of the team implementing the revolutionary process at One Day Roofing. The company is based in Maryland but proudly serves homeowners and commercial property owners across multiple states. And they prospect and complete sales entirely over the phone. Installation teams they work with in respective markets follow the same standards and approach that define every project completed in Maryland, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Virginia and West Virginia.

Libhart said that while unconventional, they complete projects with a focus on design, installation, and built for the long-term. Getting things right from the start is essential, as is clear communication when working remotely. The company’s success recently drew the attention of Skyline Roofing Partners, which has become a major catalyst for growth.

“They’ve brought not only operational resources, but experienced leadership that’s helped us look at the industry differently — while still preserving who we are at our core,” he said.

How long have you been in the roofing industry, and how did you get your start?

GL: I’ve been in the roofing industry for seven years. It wasn’t something I set out to do – I sort of found my way into it. Before roofing, I was playing professional soccer, so the transition was definitely unexpected.

I started on the sales side and, over time, had the opportunity to touch just about every part of the business. That experience gave me a solid understanding of the industry to be able to take over operations at One Day Roofing.

Griffin Libhart, 31
Chief Operating Officer, One Day Roofing

LOCATION: Tampa, Fla.

WEBSITE: onedayroofing.com

COLLEGE: West Virginia University, bachelor’s in business marketing

FAMILY STATUS: Recently Engaged to Fiancé, Julia

What are a few reasons why your company is successful?

GL:  First and foremost, it’s our people. We have an incredible team that’s fully bought into the mission. There’s a true “whatever it takes” mentality. That alignment and accountability show up in how we execute every single day.

We’re intentionally unconventional. ODR doesn’t operate like a traditional roofing company. Our entire sales process is conducted over the phone, which allows us to move fast, scale fast, and meet customers where they are.

We stay curious. We don’t pretend to have everything figured out. Our team understands this industry is constantly evolving, and we’re committed to learning, adapting, and getting better as we go.

Do you see your age as an advantage or disadvantage in this business?

GL: I see it as an advantage. The industry is going through a lot of change right now, especially with technology and AI becoming a bigger part of how roofing companies operate. Being younger gives me the opportunity to learn from experienced operators who’ve been in the business for a long time, while also being open to new tools and approaches that are shaping where the industry is headed.

What area of the roofing business are you most passionate about?

GL: I really enjoy the operational side of the business because no two days are ever the same. There’s always a challenge to solve, a process to improve, or a moving part that needs coordination. That variety keeps the work engaging and allows me to directly impact day-to-day operations.

What’s next? What are your future plans for the business?

GL: We are really excited for 2026. Our plans include expanding into a second office and continuing to refine the call center sales model. We see a lot growth for this industry and couldn’t be more eager for the year ahead.
