The Top 100 Roofing Contractors by Region
The Top 100 contractors make their mark in their respective regions in a year of private equity activity

Just as it did in the Top 100 list, private equity made its presence known in our Top 100 Regional Report for the best roofing firms of 2025.
As in past years, RC took the Top 100 list and broke it down by region. When submitting information, contractors chose from one of nine regions that best described their market, whether it was the location of their offices or where they do the most business.
During the 2025 submission process, roofing contractors disclosed if they were part of a private equity group or larger platform. All but two regions had at least one company involved with private equity. Of those seven regions, four were led by private equity-backed companies like Best Choice Roofing in Hendersonville, Tenn., which was #10 on the Top 100 list and #1 in the East South Central region.
“In 2024, Best Choice Roofing experienced exceptional financial growth, marking our most profitable year to date. With the successful opening of 22 new offices across the U.S., we expanded our market presence while maintaining strong operational efficiency,” said Zoey Gerstel, brand manager for Best Choice Roofing.
The region with the most representation was the South Atlantic, which includes states like Florida, Georgia, South Carolina and Virginia with 29 entrants. This was followed by West South Central, with 18 entrants from Alabama, Arkansas, Louisiana and Texas.
New England had the least representation with only two entrants, though of them, Adam Vaillancourt Roofing, #2, is involved with private equity. Marketing Manager Kim Lord said the company has expanded its services to include roof cleaning, Roof Maxx and insulation, along with adopting the ServiceTitan platform.
“Our CRM integration will streamline operations, improve efficiency, and drive profitability. With growing brand recognition and rising market demand, we are poised for sustained financial growth and long-term success,” Lord said.
Broken down, the list had the following totals:
- South Atlantic: 29
- West South Central: 18
- West North Central: 12
- East South Central: 10
- East North Central: 9
- Pacific: 9
- Middle Atlantic: 6
- Mountain: 5
- New England: 2
Graphic: Chris Pirrone for RCThe Pacific region saw an increase from last year, going from two entrants to nine. Flynn Group of Companies’ U.S. revenue led the region, followed by Best Contracting Services and Dwayne Nash Industries Inc., dba Kodiak Roofing and Waterproofing Co. and Affiliates.
Kodiak Roofing Vice President Dave Pope said revenue and gross profit were up nearly 10% from the previous year, crediting its investment in outside sales and reroofing markets. The commercial roofing company out of California was #28 on the national list.
“We continue to put resources into outside sales and the reroof market. This is an opportunity for us, as we have traditionally had a new construction focus,” said Pope.
This year, most regions were led by companies within the top 10 of the Top 100 list. However, when reshuffled like this, new leading companies emerge. Residential roofing contractor Aspen Contracting of Lee’s Summit, Mo., was #24 on the Top 100 list but is #2 for the West North Central region, just behind Omnia Exterior Solutions.
“Every year we stay solid near the top of residential roofers that [commit] to doing things through higher standards and integrity,” said Courtney Nussbeck, marketing manager for Aspen Contracting.
