Roofing contractors across the country are experiencing increasing pressures due to severe weather, escalating material costs, and tighter insurance requirements, which are causing claim costs to reach record levels.

El negocio de techos sigue siendo cíclico, pero la tormenta perfecta de eventos climáticos severos, la interrupción de la cadena de suministro, la escasez de mano de obra y una supervisión de seguros más estricta crea nuevos desafíos para los contratistas de techos.

Los contratistas que priorizan la calidad, mejoran su documentación e invierten en el desarrollo de la fuerza laboral serán los que mejor naveguen los riesgos crecientes, y protejan tanto los techos como sus ganancias, en esta era de costos de reclamaciones en aumento. Los costos de reparación y reemplazo de techos en EE. UU. alcanzaron casi $31 mil millones en 2024, un aumento del 30% desde 2022, principalmente debido a eventos climáticos más frecuentes y severos.

Las aseguradoras aprietan las riendas:

Las compañías de seguros están aumentando los deducibles, exigiendo documentación más estricta y examinando más de cerca la condición de los techos, lo que hace que las reclamaciones sean más difíciles de asegurar y más lentas de pagar.

Materiales y mano de obra impulsan la inflación:
