El negocio de techos sigue siendo cíclico, pero la tormenta perfecta de eventos climáticos severos, la interrupción de la cadena de suministro, la escasez de mano de obra y una supervisión de seguros más estricta crea nuevos desafíos para los contratistas de techos.

Los contratistas que priorizan la calidad, mejoran su documentación e invierten en el desarrollo de la fuerza laboral serán los que mejor naveguen los riesgos crecientes, y protejan tanto los techos como sus ganancias, en esta era de costos de reclamaciones en aumento. Los costos de reparación y reemplazo de techos en EE. UU. alcanzaron casi $31 mil millones en 2024, un aumento del 30% desde 2022, principalmente debido a eventos climáticos más frecuentes y severos.

Las aseguradoras aprietan las riendas:

Las compañías de seguros están aumentando los deducibles, exigiendo documentación más estricta y examinando más de cerca la condición de los techos, lo que hace que las reclamaciones sean más difíciles de asegurar y más lentas de pagar.
