Pantera Pros Summit Helps Hispanic Contractors Grow Together
Attendees highlight education, networking and peer support
Owens Corning’s second Pantera Pros Summit gave Hispanic contractors more than a slate of educational sessions. Attendees described the event as a place where practical training, candid conversations and a growing professional network can help them build stronger businesses.
“What makes this event amazing is that it doesn’t focus on product; it focuses on education: how these contractors grow their businesses, information about the industry and the impact that we have as a community,” said Monica Vornbrock, co-founder of The GLO Group.
For Moises Morales, executive director of Advosy Home, the value was in reconnecting with peers and continuing conversations that began well before the summit. “You get to see the people you’re growing alongside,” Morales said. “Every single one of us is growing in our own ways, in our own different companies. But at the end of the day, we’re all growing.”
Miguel Medina, CEO of XYZ Roofing & Restorations, said the summit’s education is strengthened by direct access to contractors willing to share what they have learned. “You can go to several classes, but sharing with the actual people who are doing it is priceless,” Medina said. He also pointed to networking and the resources available through the Owens Corning contractor network as important takeaways for newer contractors.
That sense of shared progress extended beyond any one business or organization. “Every time you come here, you get to know new contractors and can participate in new training sessions,” said Lorna Rojas, chairperson of Conexión Hispana of National Women in Roofing. “I believe that is what it’s all about: growing together, regardless of which company you are with.”Looking for a reprint of this article?
