Weddle & Sons Joins FirstRidge Service Partners Roofing Platform

The Kansas-based roofer is the eighth roofing brand to partner with FirstRidge since 2023.

FirstRidge Service Partners, a platform of best-in-class residential roofing and restoration specialists backed by Garnett Station Partners, announced a new partnership with Weddle & Sons, Inc. Headquartered in Manhattan, Kan., Weddle & Sons is a premier residential roofing contractor with operations in five states. 

Company owners Eric and Allyn Weddle launched in 1999 and steadily grew over the past 25 years, eclipsing $30 million in revenue in 2025. 

“When my brothers and I founded Weddle & Sons, we did so with the intention of building better lives for our neighbors, our communities and our employees,” said Allyn Weddle, Weddle & Sons president. “Through our conversations over the past two years, it became clear to us that the FirstRidge team recognizes the value in the team we have built and in the trusted relationships we have established over the years with our customers.

"We are thrilled to have found a like-minded partner that will help us scale significantly, invest further in our talented team and unlock additional value for our customers, without sacrificing our culture, commitment to quality and reputation for excellent customer service.”

In a recent feature story, they told RC that there are several factors to consider for their success, but both brothers believe it all starts with what they’ve invested in building a strong brand in their core communities. This partnership should strengthen that opportunity. "Never settle" is one of the company's five core values and reflects a commitment to consistent improvement—personally and professionally.

“We always want to be learning, getting better, and improving,” Allyn told RC. “We want to compete against last year’s version of ourselves, and ask ‘Are we providing a better service or product to our clients?’”

The passion and professionalism stood out amid a dizzying pace of mergers and acquisitions in the roofing space, fueled by private equity.

“Weddle & Sons exemplifies the kind of company we aim to partner with – market-leading contractors who fit naturally within our existing portfolio and enhance our ability to deliver best-in-class roofing services across the ‘hail-belt’ region,” said Seth Wartak, CEO of FirstRidge.

Since launching in November 2023, FirstRidge has generated significant momentum by partnering with founders, leadership teams and entrepreneurs to establish a strong roofing contractor network. FirstRidge expanded across the United States rapidly, gaining market share in its strategically-located regions. The partnership furthers FirstRidge's reputation as the go-to partner for founder-led roofing contractors,  officials said.

It also positions the company for continued growth, according to Hidary.
