Angi Launches Home Services App in ChatGPT
Tool connects AI questions to contractors

Angi has launched an app within ChatGPT designed to help homeowners move from asking questions about home projects to connecting with contractors.
The Denver-based home services marketplace said the new app allows users to ask questions about repairs, maintenance or home improvements within ChatGPT and receive guidance along with recommendations for local service professionals. When users request a quote or select a contractor, they are directed to Angi’s platform to continue the hiring process.
Angie Hicks, co-founder of Angi, said homeowners are increasingly starting projects with AI tools rather than traditional online searches.
“Instead of searching multiple websites, many now begin by asking an AI assistant what to do and what it may cost,” Hicks said. “Having our app in ChatGPT turns those conversations from recommendations into real-world action.”
The system connects with Angi’s AI Helper, introduced in 2025, which allows homeowners to describe problems in their own words and converts them into service requests used by contractors.
According to Angi, users of AI Helper are three times more likely to request a quote than those browsing traditionally, and homeowners who start a project with the tool are 25% more likely to report their project was completed successfully.
The app is available through the Apps section in ChatGPT.
