FHLB Dallas Asigna Millones para Vivienda en 2026

$20 millones destinados a techos resistentes a tormentas

El Banco Federal de Préstamos para la Vivienda de Dallas (FHLB Dallas, por sus siglas en inglés) distribuirá millones de dólares en 2026 a través de sus programas de Inversión Comunitaria, incluyendo financiamiento significativo para techos resistentes a tormentas y asistencia para compradores de vivienda en su distrito de cinco estados.

El banco asignó $10 millones para su Fondo FORTIFIED con el fin de ayudar a propietarios elegibles a instalar techos resistentes a tormentas, y otros $10 millones para un Programa FORTIFIED para Viviendas en Alquiler que apoya mejoras similares en propiedades multifamiliares asequibles propiedad de organizaciones sin fines de lucro y autoridades de vivienda pública.

Además, se pondrán a disposición $17 millones a través del programa Homebuyer Equity Leverage Partnership para ayudar a compradores de vivienda por primera vez con el pago inicial y los costos de cierre.

Otras asignaciones para 2026 incluyen $3.5 millones para asistencia en la reconstrucción tras desastres; hasta $1.75 millones por proyecto a través del Fondo General del Programa de Vivienda Asequible para la construcción o rehabilitación de viviendas asequibles; y $1.8 millones para reparaciones y modificaciones de viviendas para residentes de edad avanzada o con discapacidades.

Greg Hettrick, vicepresidente sénior y director de Inversión Comunitaria en FHLB Dallas, dijo que los programas están diseñados para apoyar a las instituciones miembros y a las comunidades a las que sirven.

“Todo lo que hacemos se centra en proporcionar a nuestros miembros financiamiento flexible y subvenciones que fortalezcan la vivienda y fomenten oportunidades económicas en las comunidades a las que sirven”, afirmó Hettrick.
