INDIANAPOLIS — Firestone Building Products Company LLC has announced the release of its 2013 Sustainability Report. The second annual report reviews the company’s manufacturing and business processes, as well as its product portfolio, to measure the effectiveness of corporate social responsibility efforts.
Firestone Building Products created the report to assess its commitment to working with internal and external stakeholders to be a more environmentally friendly business. To reach its goals of lowering energy consumption, waste and emissions, the company has set goals to:
• Adjust and adhere to more sustainable manufacturing processes that benefit employees and residents of neighboring communities.
• Develop and manufacture environmentally friendly products for commercial and industrial construction.
• Inspire employees to be green at work and in their communities.
