Rocky Mountain Snow Guards launches Rocky Fence
The two-pipe aluminum snow fence is designed for standing seam metal roofs and is available in mill finish, dark bronze and custom colors.
Rocky Mountain Snow Guards has introduced Rocky Fence, a two-pipe aluminum snow fence for standing seam metal roofs.
The system is designed for new construction and retrofit projects. It uses one aluminum bracket and two nominal 1-inch aluminum tubes. The bracket bolts to a compatible S-5 clamp selected for the roof panel and seam geometry.
Rocky Fence is available in mill finish aluminum or with a powder-coated finish, including dark bronze and custom colors. The company said the system is priced below its Blizzard II system by $5 per linear foot for mill finish aluminum, $7 per linear foot for custom powder-coated finishes and $18 per linear foot for dark bronze.
Rocky Mountain Snow Guards said snow retention systems should be specified with project-specific layouts based on the roof panel, seam geometry, clamp selection, fasteners, bracket spacing and installation conditions.
The product is intended to help manage rooftop snow movement on metal roofing systems where snow retention is required. Layout requirements vary by roof design, snow load and installation conditions.
Rocky Mountain Snow Guards said the system is part of its snow retention product line for residential and commercial metal roofing applications.
