Diamond Roofing will continue operating under its current name and leadership, Greenwood said. The company will be integrated gradually into Greenwood’s operating platform, with support from Greenwood’s safety programs, technical expertise and operational resources.

The acquisition expands Greenwood’s presence in New York and adds to its commercial roofing and building envelope services, including waterproofing, masonry, specialty roofing and service work.

“Diamond Roofing has built an outstanding business and an exceptional reputation in Central New York,” Greenwood CEO David Klein said. “We’re proud to welcome Don and his team to Greenwood and look forward to building on their success together.”

Diamond Roofing owner Don DeStefano said the deal will preserve the company’s existing business while expanding its capabilities.

“This partnership gives our customers access to deeper building envelope expertise and creates new opportunities for our team,” DeStefano said.

Greenwood Industries, the 2023 RC Commercial Contractor of the Year, was named among the top commercial roofing contractors in the nation in 2025 and provides commercial roofing, architectural metal fabrication, waterproofing, masonry, maintenance and historic restoration services. Diamond Roofing serves customers across New York State and provides roofing, sheet metal fabrication, asbestos abatement and related specialty services.
