En un reciente podcast de Best of Success, Amparo Sancen, fundadora de Latinos en Roofing y directora ejecutiva de Sancen Contracting, compartió ideas clave sobre los errores fiscales más costosos que afectan a los contratistas—y cómo evitarlos.

“Los errores más grandes son que mezclamos lo personal con lo empresarial. No guardamos los recibos, no registramos nuestros gastos”, dijo Sancen. Este error fundamental crea caos en la época de impuestos y puede costarles a los contratistas miles de dólares en deducciones perdidas y multas.

Cuando las finanzas personales y empresariales se confunden, los contratistas pierden la capacidad de rastrear adecuadamente los gastos del negocio, lo que hace casi imposible maximizar las deducciones o reportar los ingresos con precisión. Aún peor, esta mezcla puede generar complicaciones legales y levantar alertas en una auditoría.
