Nations Roof LLC announced its acquisition of Preferred Roofing Services, a commercial roofing contractor serving the Greater Cleveland area, marking the company's first acquisition in its expansion strategy.

The deal brings together Preferred's regional expertise with Nations Roof's national scale, strengthening the acquirer's position as a leading commercial roofing provider. Financial terms were not disclosed.

Founded in 1973, Preferred Roofing Services has been providing commercial and industrial roofing services across Northeast Ohio for over 50 years. The company serves the Akron, Canton and Youngstown areas, as well as select national accounts, offering roof replacements, repairs and preventive maintenance.

Jake Hyatt, Nations Roof's chief executive officer, said the acquisition deepens the company's Midwest presence.

Hartman and Brian Miller will continue as president and vice president of Preferred Roofing Services, respectively.

The acquired company will operate under the name "Preferred Roofing Services LLC, a Nations Roof Company" through 2025 before transitioning to the Nations Roof brand in 2026. Customer contacts will remain unchanged.
