Two individuals were found “living” on the roof of Lillian P. Hussey Elementary School in Augusta, Maine, prompting concerns about safety and homelessness in the city.

A construction worker died on Long Island, N.Y., on August 3, after being trapped for more than six hours when the roof he was working on collapsed; two others were injured in the accident.

A single-engine plane carrying three people crashed into the roof of a Georgetown, Texas, home on Sunday. The three passengers aboard the aircraft were rescued at the scene and taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The home was unoccupied at the time of the accident. 

A roof collapse at a middle school gymnasium in China's northwest province resulted in 11 fatalities, with construction work at the school being identified as the likely cause due to materials being stored on the roof, according to multiple media outlets.
