The market for mergers and acquisitions in the roofing industry is still going very strong and causing some observers to speculate if, and when, it might slow down. With time of the essence, roofing contractors considering a partnership, expansion or flat-out sale are asking when is the right time to sell?

“There’s a lot of private equity out there, a lot of buying and selling that’s still going strong, and it hasn’t weakened with the economy, and roofing is a key target,” said RC Legal Insights expert Trent Cotney in this brief videochat with RC Publisher Jill Bloom.

Cotney, partner with Adams & Reese, also discussed the importance of approaching private equity offers with caution and making sure contractors have their systems and operations up-to-date.
