The Davis Memorial Foundation is accepting applications for its annual scholarships given to individuals looking to further their education, especially in the construction industry.

Now in its 25th year, the program is awarding $5,000 scholarships to eligible applicants for the 2023 academic year. Priority is given to students attending a vocational school or earning a college or university degree that relates to the construction industry. Awards are based on academic/personal achievement, financial need and other factors, as deemed appropriate by the trustees.

Applications are due by April 22, 2022.

All candidates must be high school, undergraduate or graduate students; technical or vocational trade students; and provisionally accepted as a student into a degree program for the coming year by accredited colleges, universities or vocational programs.

The Davis Memorial scholarship program, held since 1997, has provided more than 150 scholarships totaling more than $650,000. The program was founded in memory of Larry and Mary Davis following their tragic death in a plane crash in 1995. The foundation is a nonprofit operated under the auspices of the Western States Roofing Contractors Association.
