ST. LOUIS — The Better Business Bureau (BBB) has named John Beal Roofing as a 2019 TORCH Award winner for BBB Serving Eastern & Southwest Missouri & Southern Illinois.

The TORCH Awards recognize businesses and charities exemplifying high ethics in their treatment of customers, employees and suppliers. A total of 10 businesses and two charities have been recognized in 2019.

A third-generation roofing company, John Beal Roofing is dedicated to providing its customers with high quality, cost effective roofing solutions for both commercial and residential projects. Sam Maiden, CEO of John Beal Roofing, said his company set a goal back in 2014 to win a TORCH Award.

"BBB Accreditation, to me, means that you are letting customers know that your company goes by a higher standard of ethics than companies that choose to not be BBB Accredited," Maiden said.

John Beal Roofing and other TORCH Award winners — along with two Student of Ethics award winners — were recognized at the BBB TORCH Awards reception and luncheon last month at the Chase Park Plaza Hotel, St. Louis, Mo.

Along with being a member of the BBB, John Beal Roofing is a member of the Owens Corning Platinum Preferred network and the National Roofing Contractors Association. The company has consistently made RC’s Top 100 Roofing Contractors list and was recognized in 2018 as an Inc. 5000 company.
