Latinos En Techado

Contratista de techado es nombrado Ciudadano del Mes en Hazel Park

Miles de niños en toda el área metropolitana de Detroit se beneficiaron de la colecta de abrigos organizada por el contratista de techado Rubén González.

La ciudad de Hazel Park, ubicada a las afueras de Detroit, reconoció recientemente al contratista de techado Rubén González como su 'Ciudadano del Mes' de enero, honrando su extraordinario compromiso de servir a las familias locales necesitadas.

González, fundador de Ais Construction, ayudó nuevamente a distribuir abrigos de invierno a más de 3,500 niños, asegurando que las familias de toda la comunidad estuvieran preparadas para la cruda temporada de invierno en Michigan.

'Sr. González, muchas gracias por sus esfuerzos y por las cosas increíbles que hizo para organizar este evento especial y proporcionar abrigos a todos esos niños', expresó el administrador de la ciudad, Edward Klobucher, durante una presentación nocturna en el Ayuntamiento. 'Sus esfuerzos son asombrosos y verdaderamente encomiables. Estamos agradecidos por lo que hace. Lo apreciamos mucho. Este es un honor muy bien merecido. Gracias desde el fondo de nuestros corazones'.

Al aceptar el premio, González habló con sinceridad sobre por qué este esfuerzo era tan importante para él"

“Como alguien que viene de una familia de bajos recursos y que ha estado en la posición de necesitar ayuda, entiendo lo difícil que puede ser sentirse vulnerable”, explicó. “Pedir apoyo requiere de verdadera valentía, y nadie debería sentirse avergonzado por ello. También sé que un abrigo calientito no es solo un abrigo; es consuelo, seguridad y un recordatorio de que a alguien le importas. Por eso estoy tan agradecido con la ciudad de Hazel Park, con cada voluntario, donante, organización y organizador que ayudó a que esta colecta de abrigos fuera posible”.

González también dio crédito a la comunidad en general por su apoyo y los alentó a seguir tratando con dignidad a las personas necesitadas.

Dentro de la industria del techado, González es conocido como un miembro valioso del Consejo Editorial Asesor de Techos y Más, ofreciendo constantemente su visión y liderazgo para fortalecer a la comunidad de contratistas latinos a nivel nacional. Su compromiso por elevar la industria refleja la misma mentalidad de servicio y liderazgo que lo llevó a recibir este reconocimiento local.
