IIBEC EVP and CEO Brian Pallasch previews the 2026 International Building Enclosure Conference, from keynote storytelling and education sessions to scholarships and networking opportunities
The International Building Enclosure Conference (IIBEC) is heading to Sacramento, Calif., Mar. 12–15, and organizers say this year’s event will be bigger and more engaging than ever.
In a recent Best of Success podcast, IIBEC CEO and Executive Vice President Brian Pallasch joined Roofing Contractor Group Publisher Jill Bloom to preview what attendees can expect. The conference will take over the entire Sacramento Convention Center, featuring more than 130 exhibitors, six product demonstrations across a two-day trade show, and multiple networking opportunities, including the opening reception.
Education remains a core focus, with 24 concurrent sessions spread across eight time blocks, three general sessions, and more than 12 hours of continuing education credits available. A pre-conference re-roofing seminar will also be offered, providing an in-depth, eight-hour learning opportunity.
This year’s keynote speaker is award-winning documentary filmmaker and storyteller Brett Culp, who will focus on the importance of storytelling as a tool for connecting with clients and communicating value. Culp will also incorporate live interviews to demonstrate his approach in real time.
IIBEC will continue its commitment to the future of the industry through its foundation, which provides scholarships for engineering, architecture, and building science students. Approximately 30 to 40 students are expected to attend the conference, gaining exposure to careers in building enclosure consulting.
