Amparo Sancen llevó recientemente su programa de capacitación Latinos En Roofing a HD Roofing & Solar en Longwood, Fla., continuando con su misión de empoderar a los profesionales latinos en todo el país dentro de la industria de techado.

El evento del 10 de octubre contó con un panel de liderazgo femenino y presentaciones de los patrocinadores del evento, incluidos ABC Supply, Atlas, Cohen Law Group, Integrity Claims, Stinger y Toro Taxes.

Sancen, quien fundó la organización después de enfrentar numerosos obstáculos como empresaria inmigrante en el negocio del techado, ha transformado sus luchas personales en una red integral de apoyo que abarca todo el país. A través de Latinos En Roofing, ofrece recursos educativos, capacitación empresarial y oportunidades de networking diseñadas específicamente para profesionales latinos en los oficios de la construcción.

El evento de capacitación en Florida ejemplifica el enfoque práctico de la organización hacia el desarrollo profesional. Latinos En Roofing organiza talleres y sesiones de capacitación similares en ciudades de todo el país, ofreciendo tanto desarrollo de habilidades prácticas como oportunidades para crear comunidad entre emprendedores y trabajadores latinos.

Lo que comenzó como una respuesta de Sancen a sus propios desafíos se ha convertido en un movimiento nacional con un impacto tangible. La organización ha crecido de ser un pequeño grupo local a atraer el apoyo de grandes empresas, que ahora ofrecen recursos en español y programas de capacitación especializados, lo que representa un cambio significativo en el apoyo de toda la industria a los profesionales latinos.

“La misión es empoderar a los profesionales latinos en los oficios de techado y construcción”, explica Sancen. A través de su trabajo, no solo está ayudando a emprendedores individuales a tener éxito, sino también cambiando la manera en que la industria del techado aborda la diversidad y la inclusión, demostrando cómo atender las necesidades específicas de una comunidad puede generar cambios positivos en industrias enteras.
