Grace Ice & Water Shield

CertainTeed

In 1978, the introduction of GRACE ICE & WATER SHIELD underlayment advanced roofing technology as the first self-adhering roofing underlayment. Today, the original self-adhered underlayment continues to deliver superior waterproofing performance on more than 2 million roofs, sealing itself at overlaps, onto the roof deck and around fasteners used to attach shingles, creating a full-bonded adhesion. These features help prevent water from leaking into a home. Backed by CertainTeed’s SureStart warranty, customers can further protect their homes and roofing products during the vital early years following installation and for up to 50 years with SureStart Plus.
