ABC_Mason, James.pngABC Supply Co., Inc., one of North America’s largest wholesale distributors of roofing, exterior and interior building products, recently announced that James Mason had been promoted to vice president of Renewable Energy.

In a release, the Beloit, Wis.-based concern said Mason started his career with ABC Supply in 2005 as the manager of the company’s Gardena, Calif., location. He was named West Region operations manager in 2012, a role he held until becoming the Southern California District manager in 2016.

A former armed forces member, Mason served in the United States Marine Corps from 1996 to 2000 and gained private-sector experience before joining the ABC Supply family.

“James has a passion for renewable energy resources, which makes him a natural fit for this new role,” said Mike Jost, chief operating officer of ABC Supply. “Even while running his district, he was helping managers in other parts of California and across the country learn and drive sales in the renewable energy market.”

ABC Supply said Mason would be responsible for growing the sales of solar and solar-related products in this newly created role. In addition to the sale of solar products, he will also work across the company on a variety of sustainability-related initiatives to reduce the company’s carbon footprint.
