Gaco says its GacoFlex A48 can be applied as a roof maintenance coating over many existing roof substrates, including single-ply, metal, sprayed-in-place polyurethane foam, and asphalt membranes.

The company says GacoFlex A48 offers early rain resistance in as little as 30 minutes, with complete cure-through in about eight hours^±. The new product can be sprayed from a standard acrylic spray system and does not require more expensive plural component equipment.

GacoFlex A48 is described as a water-based, zinc-free solution with low volatile organic compounds [VOCs], making it an “environmentally friendly option with no geographic restrictions.” According to the statement, the coating launched in white, with gray and tan options coming later this year.
