Gulfeagle Supply Acquires Quality Building Supply in Chicago
With its latest branch opening in Cincinnati, Gulfeagle Supply has now placed a stake in Ohio. The supplier will serve Southern Ohio, Southeast Indiana and Northern Kentucky from its new branch.
TAMPA, Fla. — Gulfeagle Supply announces acquisition of Quality Building Supply, resulting in two additional Chicago locations. Gulfeagle Supply, founded in 1973, is a full line distributor of residential and commercial roofing and building products. The company has grown to over 85 locations across the United States.
Quality Building Supply was founded over 65 years ago, and in the early 1990s was acquired by Walter Piton. Piton grew the business from one location in Chicago to a second location in Elgin, a suburb of Chicago, in 2019 by providing superior customer service and by building relationships. Piton and his team will continue to manage both locations as part of the Gulfeagle team.
The acquisition expands Gulfeagle’s Chicago presence to three branches across the Chicago metropolitan area to better serve the contractor in Itasca, Chicago and Elgin. The additional branches will fall under the leadership of Jim Barnish, vice president of Operations District 1B.
