Ken Kelly Wins NWIR Virtual Poker Night at IRE 2021
Add virtual card shark to the growing list of Ken Kelly’s accolades.
The 2019 RC Residential Roofing Contractor of the Year took first place in the first-ever IRE virtual poker night Wednesday sponsored by the National Women in Roofing (NWiR). The interactive fun connected players from around the country on a private poker platform with a live dealer through Zoom.
“It’s funny, I’ve played poker maybe a dozen times in my life!” Kelly, president of Kelly Roofing, told RC Publisher Jill Bloom. “That was much more fun than I expected. For the last year we’ve all been doing virtual things … none of them were as fun as this was. We got to interact and it was the closest I’ve felt to seeing my friends since COVID started.”
RC Associate Publisher Liz Obloy and Tremco’s Maureen Greeves took second and third place, respectively. Not only does Kelly earn bragging rights, but he received a $75 NWIR e-store gift card and a $100 Amazon gift card.
