The Western States Roofing Contractors Association (WSRCA) has postponed its Western Roofing Expo to the fall of 2021.

The WSRCA Board of Directors decided to move the expo to Oct. 3-5, 2021, at the RIO All-Suites Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas. In 2020, the Western Roofing Expo was a virtual event held in July due to health concerns over the COVID-19 pandemic. In past years, the expo has been held in June.

WSRCA Executive Director Joel Viera said the association believes it will deliver a more fruitful return on investment for attendees and exhibitors by holding the event later in the year, especially after a larger segment of the population will have had a chance to be vaccinated and protected from COVID-19.

"Having a safe and successful Western Roofing Expo experience is always at the forefront of our decision-making process," said WSRCA Executive Director Joel Viera. "We feel much more confident in providing a safe environment in October, rather than June."

The Western Roofing Expo will feature a 55,000-square-foot space for a trade show floor. Participants can also experience 24 educational seminars, two keynote luncheons, golf and sporting clays tournaments and a live auction to support the Davis Memorial Foundation's scholarship fund. 

"I am very excited that we will get the opportunity to have a Western Roofing Expo this year," said WSRCA President Leo Ibarra. "The WSRCA staff has worked extremely hard to make sure we are putting together a show that will be social and help us remain safe at the same time. I cannot wait to see everyone there and I know a lot of us are looking forward to continue the networking that comes along with being part of such a great association."

The WSRCA also announced that future Western Roofing Expo events will take place in the fall. Starting in 2022, the expo will return to its normal venue, the Paris-Las Vegas. The following are the new dates and locations for the Western Roofing Expo:

• 2021: Oct. 3-5 at the RIO All-Suites Hotel & Casino
• 2022: Sept. 24-26 at the Paris-Las Vegas
• 2023: Sept. 23-25 at the Paris-Las Vegas
• 2024: Sept. 29-Oct. 1 at the Paris-Las Vegas
• 2025: Sept. 28-30 at the Paris-Las Vegas
• 2026: Sept. 27-29 at the Paris-Las Vegas
