Mule-Hide Products Co. has added seven colors of 100 percent Silicone Roof Coating finish coat to its Silicone Roof Coating System, providing new options for creating beautiful, durable, low-maintenance roofs and ensuring crew safety.

Building owners can now choose from a board color palette that includes Green, Charleston Green, Brown, Terra Cotta and Tinners Red when restoring metal roofs that are visible from ground level or other high-profile vantage points.

Also included in the new colors are Safety Red and Safety Yellow, which can be used to create “warning tracks” around roof perimeters, skylights and other areas where fall protection is required. The new colors are sold in five-gallon pails.

Mule-Hide Products’ Silicone Roof Coating System can be used to restore and repair a wide variety of roofing substrates, delivering low-maintenance, watertight performance and significantly delaying the need for costly and disruptive tear-offs. The coatings can be applied to a wide array of roofing substrates, including metal, EPDM, TPO, aged PVC, aged acrylic coatings, concrete, asphalt built-up roofs, granulated modified bitumen roofs and new spray-applied polyurethane foam.

Low water absorption provides superior resistance to ponding water. A quick cure time makes same-day recoating possible. The system also controls damage caused by ultraviolet radiation, reduces thermal shock and seals water entry points.

The solvent-free formulas comply with volatile organic compound (VOC) regulations throughout North America.

The finish coats can be applied using a brush, roller or airless sprayer. In addition to the seven new colors, 100 percent Silicone Roof Coating is available in White, Gray, Tan and Black.
