DENVER — National Women in Roofing has announced the establishment of affiliate relationships with other industry-related organizations/associations to identify areas of mutual interest, support, and cooperation.

The first affiliate relationship is with RCI Inc.

RCI is an international nonprofit association of professionals who specialize in roofing, waterproofing, and exterior wall specification and design. From sprayed polyurethane foam to cedar shakes, from parking garages to air barriers, RCI has a member expert for every type of roof, exterior wall, or waterproofing issue in the world today.

National Women in Roofing (NWIR) is a national organization focused on the empowerment of women within the roofing industry.

NWIR is a volunteer-based organization that supports and advances the careers of women roofing professionals. The organization provides networking, mentoring, education and recruitment opportunities from the rooftop to the boardroom, for the young professional at the start of her career to the seasoned manager in the executive suite

“As an industry, it is important that we all work together to advance each other’s efforts,” said Shari Carlozzi, NWIR chair. “Our organizations have very similar goals and objectives – especially surrounding education and advancing the professionalism of the industry as a whole. It just makes sense to leverage each other in accomplishing our respective missions.”
