IMETCO Acquires Martin Fireproofing
NORCROSS, Ga. — Innovative Metals Company Inc. (IMETCO) has acquired Martin Fireproofing Corp., a manufacturer of specialty metal roof deck systems with a strong reputation for performance in the building-envelope arena. The company will merge with IMETCO, and its products will continue to be sold under the Martin Fireproofing brand name.
“This partnership solidifies our commitment to provide solutions that truly encompass the entire building envelope. It will allow us to provide a single-source warranty for the roof deck and roof system, a valuable benefit to our customers,” explained Joe Orlando, president of IMETCO.
Martin Fireproofing and its flagship Perform-A-Deck product carries a highly regarded reputation within the industry. When integrated with IMETCO’s structural roof panel, the system is engineered and tested to resist extreme wind and debris impact as defined by the FEMA 361 Design and Construction Guidance for Community Safe Rooms.
