MCKINNEY, Texas — SRS Distribution has announced that it has reached an agreement to acquire B&L

Wholesale Supply, a preeminent distributor of roofing and related residential and commercial building products, supplies and services. The acquisition of Rochester, N.Y.-based B&L is the largest in SRS’ history and adds four locations across New York and Pennsylvania. Terms of the purchase were not disclosed.

B&L was founded in 1950 and currently employs a team of more than 225 people. B&L services a primary market area of Western New York, Eastern and Central Pennsylvania and Northeastern Ohio. B&L’s customer base includes roofing contractors (both residential and commercial), large homebuilders and home improvement contractors. Don Tomeny, Bob Latour and Art Finocchario, joint owners, and B&L’s entire sales and operations team will be staying with the company to run the branches going forward, which will ensure continuity and consistency for the customers, employees and suppliers of B&L. SRS will continue to operate these branches under the B&L Wholesale Supply name as a new stand-alone region.
