Roofing Contractor Announces the 2014 Roofing Contractors of the Year
TROY, Mich. — Roofing Contractor has announced the winners of its 2014 Roofing Contractor of the Year awards. The Residential Contractor of the Year is DryHome Roofing & Siding Inc., located in Sterling, Va. The Commercial Roofing Contractor of the Year is Commercial Roofing & Waterproofing Inc., located in Honolulu, Hawaii. Both companies will be featured in the November issue of Roofing Contractor in a special dual-cover issue.
The annual award honors contractors that follow industry best practices, take care of their employees and excel at quality workmanship. The goal is to recognize companies that offer exemplary customer service, help others in their communities and serve as leaders in the roofing industry. The motto for the contest is “We’re not looking for the biggest contractors out there — we’re looking for the best.”
DryHome Roofing & Siding took top honors in the residential category for its 25 years of exemplary service to its customers and employees, as well as a company-wide commitment to helping the community. Twelve years ago, owner Steve Gotschi started his Free Roof for the Holidays program, which provides a free roof for a Virginia Homeowner in need or nonprofit organization at Christmastime. In addition, Gotschi and his company also spearhead the annual Loudoun Lyme 5K Run, which has raised more than $ 140,000 for Lyme disease education and prevention.
The winner in the commercial category, Commercial Roofing & Waterproofing, was founded in 1993 by Guy and Lanette Akasaki. The company was recognized for its honesty, integrity and commitment to providing exceptional value to its customers. CRW is also being honored for being an industry leader in cutting-edge technology, green initiatives and solar solutions, including several award-winning projects this past year.
