The North Texas Roofing Contractors Association (NTRCA), a regional association for residential and commercial roofing contractors, distributors, manufacturers and associates who maintain the highest industry standards, announced the 2011 Golden Hammer Award winners, who were honored at the 11th Annual Awards Banquet and Gala.

FORT WORTH, Texas - The North Texas Roofing Contractors Association (NTRCA), a regional association for residential and commercial roofing contractors, distributors, manufacturers and associates who maintain the highest industry standards, announced the 2011 Golden Hammer Award winners, who were honored at the 11th Annual Awards Banquet and Gala.

The 2011 Golden Hammer Awards recognize outstanding roofing projects. Entries are judged each year on logistical challenges, quality workmanship, uniqueness, difficulty, time constraints, innovative solutions and safety challenges.

Contractors selected to win the 2011 Golden Hammer Award for Community Service Projects this year were: Pitts Roofing for their work with Camp Fire, Camp El Tesoro Counselor’s In Training Cabin; Frazier Roofing and Guttering for their work on the Arlington Board of Realtors Project; and Empire Roofing for the Expanco Roof Flashing and Top Coat Project.

Commercial Contractors winning the 2011 Golden Hammer Award this year were: Supreme Roofing Systems for their work on the Texas Department of Criminal Justice Terrell Unit Cannery; Arrington Roofing Inc. for their work with St. Philopateer Coptic Orthodox Church; and Castro Roofing for the University of Houston Science Center project.

Residential Contractors being awarded a 2011 Golden Hammer this year were: Tice Enterprises, Ltd. for the Tabani Residence; Bret Foster Roofing for their work on the Centenary Residence; and Bert Roofing for their work on the Cayuga Residence.
