Gardner Asphalt Corp. has agreed in principle to purchase the Fields Co. of Tacoma, Wash.

TAMPA, Fla.-Gardner Asphalt Corp. has agreed in principle to purchase the Fields Co. of Tacoma, Wash. Both Gardner and Fields are manufacturers of roofing and waterproofing materials for the commercial and retail markets.

This acquisition is another step forward for Gardner in expanding manufacturing into the Northwest United States. This increases its product line further into packaged asphalts, saturated felts and modified built-up roofing systems for the commercial market.

This is the third acquisition that Garnder has made in the last eight months. The previous two acquisitions were the AmorFlex Roof restoration System from Honeywell and the product manufacturing and distribution arm of Kold King Roofing Systems.
