Under the alliance, builders will be able to work through a single relationship for roofing, engineered solar plans, installation and financing. Lifestyle Energy will serve as a preferred provider of solar leases and power-purchase agreements for systems installed in MRS builder communities.

The companies said the arrangement is designed primarily to support California homebuilders subject to the state’s Title 24 energy requirements, which generally require solar photovoltaic systems on new homes. The alliance also will expand coverage in California, including the Central Valley, while supporting MRS’s broader roofing operations in other states

Lifestyle Solar has installed more than 22,000 residential solar systems and originated a portfolio totaling more than 70 megawatts. The company specializes in incorporating solar systems into new-home construction for large production builders.

“Together with Lifestyle, builders get one relationship that delivers the roof, the solar system, and the financing behind it,” said Vince Nardo, CEO of MRS.

The alliance will cover projects from initial solar bids and engineered plans through installation, financing and service. Existing contracts, project teams and points of contact will remain in place, according to the companies.

Vince Nardo and Anthony Nardo were appointed CEO and chief financial officer, respectively, of MRS in July 2025.

Lifestyle Energy is led by founder Adam Hoang, who also serves as vice president of Lifestyle Solar.
