The product can be used for flashing applications, including complex penetrations, tight clearances and irregular details, as well as roofing and waterproofing field applications such as amenity decks, balconies, terraces and other exposed surfaces. 

Sika said the system supports color options and slip-resistant finishes for occupied spaces. The product line also covers applications including planters, fountains, pools, pedestrian traffic systems, under-paver assemblies and detailed waterproofing conditions.

The system is intended for projects where liquid-applied waterproofing can help address transitions, terminations and other areas that may be difficult to cover with sheet materials. Its reinforced application is designed to support detailing around penetrations, curbs, drains and other common rooftop conditions.

By consolidating PMMA products under the Sikalastic Rapid name, Sika is positioning the line for contractors working on roofing, flashing and pedestrian-surface waterproofing applications. The launch expands the company’s liquid-applied roofing and waterproofing portfolio for commercial and occupied-space projects.
