Schryver & Co. has launched a mergers and acquisitions advisory firm focused on residential and commercial service businesses in the skilled trades.

The Tampa-based firm will advise companies in sectors including roofing, HVAC, plumbing, electrical and windows and doors on business sales, acquisitions, valuations and succession planning.

Founder and Managing Partner Will Schryver said the firm was created as increasing numbers of private equity firms and other investors pursue acquisitions in the trades sector.

“Owners deserve an advisor who truly understands the trades and the private equity community, because those two worlds have collided,” Schryver said.

According to the company, the firm combines experience in investment banking and private equity with operational experience in service businesses. Schryver & Co. will provide sell-side and buy-side advisory services as well as strategic consulting.

The firm said it will serve trades businesses nationwide.
