Atlas Roofing Corporation has enhanced the solar reflectivity of its Pinnacle Sun shingle line, increasing Solar Reflectance Index (SRI) values across all cool color options by approximately 15–25%, depending on color. The improvement is designed to reduce heat transfer into homes and support indoor comfort.

The update introduces a new color, Cool Oyster, with an SRI of 22, expanding design options while maintaining energy performance. Atlas also implemented refined granule blending and application methods to improve color consistency and overall roof appearance.

Pinnacle Sun shingles incorporate multiple 3M technologies, including reflective granules to reduce heat absorption and protective features to help resist algae discoloration and maintain long-term performance. The shingles also include smog-reducing granules that help break down airborne pollutants.

The product is designed for standard installation without changes to contractor workflows. The updated shingles are available nationwide and meet key energy code requirements, including California Title 24, with select colors compliant in stricter local jurisdictions.
