Customizable Green Roof System Boosts Stormwater Control, Energy Savings
GreenGrid
GreenGrid has introduced its Layered Green Roof System, a built-in-place assembly designed for projects requiring customized configurations and precise installation. The system accommodates complex roof geometries, varying slopes and specialized plant selections.
Installed and shaped on-site, the layered design integrates with GreenGrid accessories and supports vegetation including sedum, perennials and ornamental grasses. Growing media depths are available in 4-, 6- and 8-inch increments, as well as deeper intensive options to meet structural and stormwater requirements. Optional components, such as mineral wool for added water retention and root barriers for non-succulent plantings, expand design flexibility.
The system is designed to support on-site stormwater management and improve building energy performance through summer cooling and added thermal mass. It can also contribute toward code compliance and green building certification programs. Additional benefits include extended roof membrane protection and the creation of accessible rooftop spaces.

LiveRoof SolaGreen Modular Rack Integrates Solar Panels with Green Roofs
LiveRoof Global
LiveRoof Global’s SolaGreen Rack System is a modular bio-solar solution that integrates photovoltaic panels with its LiveRoof green roof platform. The non-penetrative, ballasted rack is designed for fast installation using a single tool and is compatible with IronRidge and Unirac rail systems.
The system aims to improve overall rooftop performance by pairing solar generation with vegetated roofing. LiveRoof says green roofs can increase solar panel efficiency by 5–15% by reducing rooftop temperatures. The combined system also supports stormwater management, insulation performance and roof membrane protection.
SolaGreen components are non-corrosive, have rounded edges for safety, and have been wind-load-tested by CPP Wind Engineering. The system was developed over four years and includes installation guides and video support. It qualifies for applicable federal and state solar incentives, including the U.S. Investment Tax Credit.

SOPRANATURE Toundra Box Modular Green Roof System
SOPREMA
SOPRANATURE’s Toundra Box is a modular, pre-vegetated green roof system designed to simplify installation and support vegetative roofing on buildings, terraces, and plaza decks. Each lightweight polypropylene tray includes built-in drainage, filter fabric, growing medium, and pre-grown plant coverage, enabling rapid deployment of green roofing without separate layering. The system is available with sedum mixes that can be adapted to regional hardiness zones and climatic conditions, and it delivers immediate vegetative cover upon installation. Toundra Box units are installed side-by-side, with removable retention frames for a clean finish and accessible waterproofing. The modular design also contributes to thermal insulation and stormwater management on roof surfaces. Trays are recyclable and suitable for both small and large projects.

TruGround Conductive Primer for ELD Testing
Detec Systems
TruGround Conductive Primer is a water-based coating designed to enable electronic leak detection (ELD) on conventional roofing systems. Applied directly to non-conductive substrates such as coverboard and insulation, the primer creates a conductive layer beneath the membrane, allowing accurate high- and low-voltage ELD testing.
The product is suitable for new construction and reroof applications and is compatible with common membrane types, including TPO, PVC, KEE, modified bitumen and EPDM. It complies with ASTM D7877 and D8231 requirements for ELD and meets ASTM D4496 electrical surface resistivity measurements. The primer is UL-listed and FM-approved.
TruGround is low-VOC, solvent-free, non-flammable and manufactured in the United States. Once installed, it supports ELD testing for the life of the roof.
