The HCR Group has appointed Chad Bystedt as chief financial officer, adding a veteran finance executive to the leadership team of the newly formed commercial roofing platform operating across the Western United States.

The HCR Group is a Washington, D.C.-based commercial roofing platform comprised of high-performing regional companies across the Western United States and backed by HCI Equity Partners.

Bystedt brings more than 20 years of finance and accounting experience. He most recently served as CFO of Cirks Construction, doing business as KDC Construction, where he led financial strategy for more than a decade across multiple markets. His background also includes roles in construction, software as a service and manufacturing, as well as early career experience at Deloitte supporting organizations in the United States and internationally.

“Chad’s experience and leadership are a strong fit for The HCR Group,” CEO Mike Erekson said. “His ability to build scalable financial infrastructure and support thoughtful expansion will be critical as we continue to grow.”

The HCR Group launched last month as a unified commercial roofing platform bringing together regional companies in the Western U.S. The organization includes Highland Commercial Roofing, Skycraft Roofing, Fidelity Roof Company and Northwest Roofing. Each company continues to operate locally under its existing leadership.

The platform was formed to provide shared resources focused on safety, consistency and operational support while maintaining local customer relationships.

“We built The HCR Group with intention,” Erekson said. “Chad’s leadership strengthens our ability to execute on that vision.”
