Roofing Industry Volunteers Kick Off the 2026 International Roofing Expo with a Powerful Give-Back in Las Vegas
Partnering again with Rebuilding Together, a national nonprofit geared toward helping homeowners in need, organizers of the 2026 International Roofing Expo (IRE) identified neighborhoods around Las Vegas that needed help and sought to assist specific residents who otherwise couldn’t afford critical home improvements.
Chief sponsor Sika Corp., which began its partnership with the IRE event in 2009, again brought several volunteers to work on the projects and presented Rebuilding Together of Southern Nevada with a check for $15,000. The contribution is essential but doesn’t outweigh the opportunity created for roofing professionals to give back to the local community that hosts the industry’s largest and most-impactful show.
“We always get a nice turnout of Sika volunteers, but it’s fantastic to see the turnout we get from across the industry with suppliers, contractors, etc., all working together to give back,” said Bill Bellico, vice president of marketing. “There aren’t many situations like this where sometimes you see competitors working side by side to give back.”
Volunteers completed exterior painting, yard cleanup and minor exterior repairs at both homes.
In addition to the two homes, GAF donated shingles for a roof replacement on another property. Farrell Roofing donated the labor, Onsite Services and Western Elite donated equipment to assist with the replacement.
“It’s a day we always look forward to each year, and you know you’ll walk away feeling proud of what you accomplished,” Bellico said.
