Birmingham-headquartered roofing contractor Apex Roofing & Restoration has launched a new scholarship campaign, Sheltering Scholars: An Apex Roofing & Restoration Education Initiative, dedicated to supporting Alabama college students through financial assistance and community engagement.

The Sheltering Scholars scholarship initiative will provide five awards of $7,500 each to deserving students who meet the eligibility criteria. In a news release, the company said the initiative reflects Apex Roofing & Restoration’s commitment to investing in education and strengthening the local community.

“Apex Roofing & Restoration was built in Alabama, and we owe our success to this state which supported us,” said Grant Rockett, CEO of Apex Roofing & Restoration. “The Sheltering Scholars initiative is our way to give back by investing in the next generation of Alabama’s leaders.”

Entries for the Sheltering Scholars: An Apex Roofing & Restoration Education Initiative close on May 27, 2025. Winners will be announced by June 17, 2025. Applicants must meet the following eligibility requirements:

• Be currently accepted or enrolled at an Alabama college (four-year university or junior college).
• Use the award money toward tuition or educational expenses, such as housing.
• Submit a resume and a one-to-two-page essay to scholars@apexroofs.com.
