FOTOS: Latinos en Techado en IRE 2025

El sector de techos celebra a los techadores latinos en el evento más grande de la industria.

Con el 30% de la industria de techado compuesta por trabajadores latinos e hispanos, no sorprende que estos contratistas se presentaran en masa a la Exposición Internacional de Techado 2025.

La industria de techado continúa apoyando a la comunidad, reconociendo el impacto positivo que ha tenido durante décadas. Tanto los fabricantes como los distribuidores de materiales para techos están atendiendo a los contratistas de habla hispana, ofreciendo capacitación, materiales traducidos y recursos para que tengan éxito.

La IRE de este año no es la excepción. La IRE implementó varias iniciativas en la feria para llegar a la comunidad de habla hispana, reconociendo la diversidad de la fuerza laboral del techado. Se ofrecieron sesiones de conferencias selectas principalmente en español, además de utilizar inteligencia artificial con Wordly, que proporcionó una traducción en vivo de las sesiones al inglés. SRS Distribution, en su stand #6063 y en el stand SRS Para Latinos #6077, ofreció capacitación en negocios y ventas tanto en inglés como en español.

Grupos como Latinos En Roofing estuvieron representados durante la exposición, y en todo el recinto ferial, contratistas latinos, representantes de ventas y otros estuvieron entre los que examinaron los últimos productos y servicios. No debería sorprender: según las estadísticas de la Oficina del Censo, entre 2007 y 2022, los negocios de propiedad latina (con empleados) aumentaron en un 57%, mientras que los negocios de propiedad blanca (con empleados) crecieron en un 5%.
