When roofing industry interests, including contractors, consultants, manufacturers, suppliers, and others show up as a group in Washington D.C., Congress notices.

As the working world continues to change, leaders in the roofing industry must find ways to continuously attract workers into the trade, including technology and mitigating dangerous work.

Scaling back during a recession is not as much fun as growing is, but recessions are like a river that goes dry during a drought. All that “stuff” on bottom show ups, making it easy to see what needs to change.

What is your vision for 2020? Please permit me to submit a suggestion: Focus on yourself.

No matter what kind of roofing services you offer, if you want to grow or even maintain your roofing business, you must consistently seek out new customers.

Nothing happens until you sell something. Sales is one essential component without which no business would survive.

The roofing industry isn’t the only one struggling to grow in the face of a diminished workforce.

There are many reasons I am proud to be associated with the roofing industry. You keep the nation dry while protecting the property where we live and work.
