GacoFlex LM60

Gaco

With a legacy of 50-plus years, Gaco’s GacoFlex LM60 knows how to stand the test of time, having waterproofed millions of square feet of horizontal and vertical surfaces on some of the most sophisticated and aesthetically demanding structures. GacoFlex LM60 is a cold-applied, one-coat, monolithic waterproofing membrane for various surfaces, including underlayment for vegetative roofs. A 100% polyurethane, solvent-free, liquid-applied, two-component coating, GacoFlex LM60 is easy to use — requiring a single application with a squeegee, trowel, spray or brush. Since the LM60 polyurethane waterproof coating is NSF P151 Certified, it is safe for biodiversity and won’t impart contaminants into the water draining from a garden roof. For more information, visit gaco.com.

SOPRANATURE

SOPRANATURE

SOPREMA

SOPRANATURE vegetated systems offer various social and environmental benefits to building owners and communities. In addition to enhancing roofs with permeable and living surfaces, they compensate for damaged ecosystems caused by urban development. Whether modular or built on-site, SOPRANATURE systems offer great flexibility in green roof design. TOUNDRA BOX is a pre-vegetated modular tray system containing a filter fabric and a growing medium with a mix of sedum species adapted according to the hardiness zone and climatic conditions. The TOUNDRA BOX system can be installed on SOPRANATURE green roofs, garden terraces, and plaza decks. For more information, visit soprema.us/sopranature.

Garden Roof Assemblies

Garden Roof Assemblies

American Hydrotech

American Hydrotech, the Chicago-based manufacturer of waterproofing and roofing products and a Sika subsidiary, announced that its Garden Roof Assemblies have successfully passed a series of tests to meet FM Approvals. FM Approvals is a third-party testing and certification service like Underwriters Laboratories. American Hydrotech said receiving FM certification for its Garden Roof Assembly system provides building owners, architects, and landscape designers confidence when specifying a garden roof. The company added that green roofs offer many benefits, from aesthetics to food growing to restoring the balance with nature, noting that garden roofs are net positive regarding environmental impact, offer better stormwater run-off management, and reduce the urban heat island effect.
