Experts from AkzoNobel’s Coil & Extrusion Coatings business announced it will share the latest insights into new technologies, products and trends shaping the metal coatings industry during METALCON 2023 at the Las Vegas Convention Center, October 18-20.

METALCON is the world’s largest event dedicated to applying metal in design and construction.

In an October 10 news release, AkzoNobel invites show attendees to meet with AkzoNobel’s team [Booth No. 5007] to learn about today’s trends and market conditions, ranging from the steel supply chain to the latest insights on PFAS regulations.

There will also be a technical know-how session on “What’s in a Coating and Its Warranty for Your Pre-Painted Metal” at the Learning Center in the Expo Hall at 4 p.m. on October 19, presented by AkzoNobel expert David Hirte.

The session will cover coating technology, warranties, and specifications. There will also be additional information on AkzoNobel’s CERAM-A-STAR 1050 Select Transferable Warranty program available at the booth.

Another topic on the agenda is changing climate patterns, the potential implications for coatings, such as coating performance in corrosive environments and coastal areas, and what it might mean for warranties.

Field-tested samples of AkzoNobel products will be displayed to demonstrate the leading performance of our TRINAR PVDF coatings and CERAM-A-STAR 1050 SMP coatings in comparative durability and performance testing.

“Connections, conversation, and sharing knowledge are key aspects of the METALCON experience,” says David Hirte, key account manager, Global Imports & Exports North America at AkzoNobel. “Attendees can engage in valuable discussions with our industry-leading experts … and we look forward to sharing our insights with visitors to our stand.”
