Holcim Building Envelope was again recognized by Newsweek magazine as one of America’s Greatest Workplaces for both women and diversity. 

Newsweek Rankings are based on publicly available data, interviews with HR professionals, and an anonymous online survey of a diverse pool of employees at companies with 1,000 or more employees in the United States. Criteria for employee surveys were based on corporate culture and working environment, among others. 

Holcim Building Envelope earned the maximum equality score of five stars on the list of America’s Greatest Workplaces for Women, one of only 13 American companies categorized as “Industrial Products/Industrial Machinery” to receive the top score. The rankings stem from a survey of more than 37,000 female employees on criteria like compensation and benefits, work-life balance, and proactive management of a diverse workforce.

The release noted how parent company Holcim, the global building products manufacturer, is committed to furthering the goal of increasing gender inclusivity and diversity in its workforce. The company’s 2025 target is for women to comprise at least 25% of its senior management; that would be an increase from the current 14%. 

“We are working hard to be the model that shows there are opportunities for all individuals in construction and manufacturing, regardless of sex, race, religion, or culture,” Gentoso said. “We believe that anyone can achieve success and hold leadership positions; the progress we’ve made in hiring and retaining women at all levels … proves that the mold has been broken.”
