Delaware-based DuPont recently showcased its DuPont™ Tedlar® film solutions for the roofing industry at International Roofing Expo, the largest roofing and exteriors event in North America. According to DuPont, Tedlar film provides superior metal protection that ensures a clean look for decades, in any environment. With a unique combination of strength, chemical inertness and weatherability, Tedlar has provided long-lasting protection on metal surfaces around the world for many years.

“The IRE presents us a great opportunity to connect with key players in the roofing industry and get a pulse on the latest trends,” said Matt Urfali, vice president, marketing and sales, DuPont Tedlar. “We’ve gotten a lot of positive feedback from companies who are using Tedlar in the field with excellent results. We look forward to continued growth in this market.”

Exhibiting alongside other DuPont brands including Tyvek®, attendees and media partners were able to meet with Tedlar experts and learn more about its proven durability for architectural metal building products. Tedlar showcased not only its standard suite of popular roofing colors, but new innovations in printed Tedlar film including woodgrain and stone patterns.

DuPont says Tedlar is superior to other protective coatings, including paint, due to its ability to not fade, chalk, crack, blister or check from UV exposure, acid rain or dirt. Even projects within 1,500 feet off the ocean, including direct oceanfront properties, have shown not to deteriorate from sea water and salt spray. Tedlar films have more than 60 years of proven performance in the harshest environments, ranging from aerospace, to solar panels, to graphic signage, and many others.
