S-5! Announces 14 New Patents Issued This Year

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. — As S-5! wraps up its 30th anniversary year, one of the global leaders of metal roof attachments announced the addition of 14 new patents issued in 2022 alone, bringing the total number of patent issuances to 112 since the company’s first product was patented in 1991.

The United States Patent and Trademark Office most recently granted S-5! Patent No. 11,512,474 for its S-5-ZH™ Mini clamp. “ZH” stands for Zip-Hinge and is specifically designed for mounting solar and other light-duty applications to round “bulb” seam configurations, such as BEMO, Kalzip®, Zip-Rib® and other similar metal roof profiles. The ZH Mini can also be paired with the S-5! PVKIT® for an economical, time and labor-saving rail-less, direct-attach™ solar mounting solution.
