Beacon Announces 14 Veterans as New Roof Recipients for Beacon of Hope Program
On Veterans Day, Beacon announced the 14 grand-prize winners of its annual Beacon of Hope program, an initiative aimed at honoring veterans throughout North America for their service by supporting them with a brand-new roof, free of charge.
Together with local roofing companies, Beacon will deliver and facilitate 14 roof replacements for veteran and Gold Star Family homes, and community buildings serving veterans.
“At Beacon, we’re committed to giving back, especially to the veterans who have bravely served our country,” said Jamie Samide, vice president of marketing, Beacon. “Through the Beacon of Hope program, veterans who have dedicated their lives to serving others, as well as Gold Star Families will receive the security of safe, durable roofs over their heads. The installation of a new roof goes beyond home improvement. It serves as a reminder that we will never forget the sacrifices of veterans and their families.”
Now in its sixth year, Beacon of Hope is part of Beacon’s commitment to "Building Better for its Communities." The program is open to all military veterans in the U.S. and Canada. By joining forces with with local roofing companies, Beacon will deliver and fully fund a safe, durable roof for 14 residential winners and two community buildings.
The new roof will feature TRI-BUILT products, Beacon’s private label brand, and products from CertainTeed. Since launching the program in 2018, Beacon has installed over 50 roofs that helped our veterans gain confidence and pride in their homes.
