VIDEO: Recapping 100 Years of FRSA
All eyes in the roofing world focused on Florida recently with the passage of major insurance reforms and the 100th anniversary celebration of the Florida Roofing and Sheet Metal Contractors Association (FRSA) in Daytona Beach, Fla. RC Editorial Director Rick Damato caught up with RC legal expert Trent Cotney, of Adams and Reese, on the show floor to talk about the meaningful anniversary.
The two Florida natives recapped their first memories of the expo and how its impacted their work in the roofing industry. Cotney specifically recounted the first time speaking before a roofing audience at FRSA 2002.
“Mold was the big issue then because they hadn’t come up with any mold disclaimers yet,” he said in this brief video. “It’s kind of funny looking back because we all know how to deal with that now. It’s a real honor to be able to participate in the 100th anniversary.”
