HOMER GLEN, Ill. — Richards Building Supply and Prairie Wholesale Supply announced they are in an agreement to add Springfield, Ill.-based Prairie Wholesale to Richards Building Supply.

Richards Building Supply is a family-owned independent wholesale distributor of building materials established in 1978. The company serves contractors, builders, remodelers and restoration companies across 14 states, with over 60 branches spanning the Midwest to North and Southeast regions. In August, the company announced the opening of two branches in the greater Chicagoland area, Carol Stream and Itasca, relocations from Addison and Melrose Park, respectively.
